In the month of March, CKB launched the initiative "Women for Women" on the occasion of marking the International Women's Day. Within this initiative, the female employees of CKB have the opportunity to propose and vote for organizations which are dedicated to advancing the position of women in society, strengthening the principles of gender equality, and supporting vulnerable groups.
This year, the Bank's female employees have decided to donate to the Day Care Centre for Children with Developmental Disabilities and Persons with Disabilities in Nikšić. On behalf of CKB, the employees of branch operating in this city handed over the donation to the director of Day Care Centre, Mr. Radovan Draganić.
The Day Care Centre for Children with Developmental Disabilities and Persons with Disabilities in Nikšić provides a comprehensive set of social protection service. Approximately 50 users of these services are given the necessary care, rehabilitation and occupational therapy, as well as support and counselling. Socialization and integration into the community, training for independent performing of daily activities in accordance with the preserved abilities and improving their quality of life are also part of the mission of this Day Care Centre.
Given the importance of the work of the Day Care Centre for its users and their families, CKB female employees almost unanimously decided that this year's donation is directed to elevating the support provided daily to the children with development disabilities and people with disabilities in the Municipality of Nikšić.
