eCommerce Service

The notion of eCommerce, that is electronic commerce, most commonly refers to goods and services trade management, or the performance of various business transactions via Internet as an active medium.

By using CKB eCommerce services, you can sell products and services and accept payments by VISA, MasterCard and American Express cards via Internet. This is a fully safe and secure method of non-cash payment, which will facilitate and enhance your electronic commerce operations.

Through this service, CKB will make the sale of your products and services simpler and more accessible to customers all over the world, without time or territorial limitations.

The implementation of CKB eCommerce services is absolutely safe and compatible with MasterCard, VISA and American Express standards.

To become eligible for starting to use eCommerce, a client needs to meet certain criteria for the implementation and to submit necessary documents.

Implementation criteria

A client needs to meet the following criteria to realize eCommerce service of Crnogorska Komercijalna Banka:

  • To have an account with Crnogorska Komercijalna Banka for minimum one year
  • Not to have due and unpaid debts to Crnogorska Komercijalna Banka
  • Not to have its account blocked in the last 12 months
  • Not to have default in debt repayment more than 30 days
  • To have annual turnover through Crnogorska Komercijalna Banka of minimum EUR 100.000,00 (one hundred thousand euro)
  • To have operated with profit in the last 12 months
  • That server enabling interface for establishing the link with the Bank system is located on the territory of Montenegro


A client has to deliver the following documentation to realize eCommerce service:

  • a copy of regulation on foundation passed by a responsible body
  • a copy of document brought by the responsible body specifying the applicant’s tax identification number – PIB
  • a copy of document specifying data on the activity to which the applicant belongs (Excerpt from the register of the Montenegrin Statistics Bureau)
  • a copy of OP application form
  • a copy of KDP form for business account with CKB to which it will be transferring funds from payments made by payment cards.
  • Balance Sheet/Income statement for the previous three years including this year financial statements by the time of the application submission
  • Business plan for the Internet sales point
  • a copy of document on Internet domain registration
  • a copy of document on purchased valid SSL certificate
  • statement on the company activity including details on the product types available on the Internet sales place as well as the confirmation that it will not be used for placement of legally prohibited assortment
  • filled-in application for using CKB eCommerce service
  • Agreement on keeping business secret
  • Agreement on virtual card acceptance

Technical and security aspects

A client is obliged to create interface on its Web site that will lead to the potential buyer or service user through process of product or service ordering.

At the time when it wishes to make a payment, the card holder is directed to the protected page for payment hosted by the Bank where it enters the data about the payment card. After the completion of the transaction processing it is directed back to the client Web site where it receives the information on transaction successfulness.

The implementation of eCommerce service on the client Web site is very simple. The Bank provided free consultancy services and technical support during the implementation process. Additionally, the Bank provided for complete test environment (test package, test payment cards, access to test server for authentification and authorization) available to the client in the course of its Web site integration with the Bank system.

CKB eCommerce service has implemented 3D Secure technology that implies additional authentification methods (MasterCard Secure Code, Verified by VISA) by the buyer, the payment card holder. The implemented 3D Secure technology also protects the client in the process of purchasing and is secured from the possible misuse of the payment card on its Web site.

In addition to the above, the following security measures were implemented:

  • Server enabling interface for connecting to the Bank system is located on the territory of Montenegro
  • In the communication between the Buyer and the Bank Processor TLS 1.2 will be used
  • Data on payment card needed for authorization are entered on the restricted Bank side and the client has no access to them and consequently has no responsibility or special requests for their archiving
  • Transaction pre-authorization system – card holder funds on the payment card are reserved after the payment process and transaction is realized only after the goods and/or services delivery
